The bus ride to Washington, D.C. took about six hours. I had the window seat in one of the five busses sent by Hillel to attend the rally there, but the ride down I-95 was far from scenic. I was tired, having gotten a solid hour of sleep before waking up to make the 7:00 a.m.

Over 100 people rallied in support of Israel on College Walk last Thursday. The next day, a smaller but equally vocal group rallied in support of the Palestinian cause. Both groups gathered as a war wages a world away, and neither gathering ended in chaos or violence.
