One of my favorite commercials is the Sprite ad from a few years ago in which three actors are rapping about Sprite. The director cuts the scene, and the actors revert to their classically trained selves asking, "What's my motivation?" They have a good point.

When I watched the movie Dogma for the first time, I admit I was amused at the hypothetical "Buddy Christ" figure the Catholic Church unveils. In the movie, Buddy Christ is a marketing ploy--an attempt to make Jesus more accessible by showing him winking and making the thumbs up sign.
