On Oct. 7, the anniversary of the beginning of the war in Afghanistan, George W. Bush made his case for attacking Iraq. He claimed that "the threat from Iraq stands alone because it gathers the most serious dangers of our age in one place." Inside Cincinnati's Union Terminal were 400 listeners.

If I've learned anything in the last 10 years, it is that good leadership is invaluable. I suppose part of the reason I'm thinking about leadership now is the heightened tension in world affairs, and my deep hope that our country's leaders know what they're doing.

I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to feel like to be gay. History would tell me to be a reclusive writer who does exotic drugs or a repressed global czar who focuses sexual frustration on plundering small villages.

The Columbia men's soccer team hit a bump in the road on their quest for an Ivy League title on Sunday, managing only a 1-1 draw against the Brown Bears. The deadlock is the first such result for the Light Blue this year, as their record moves to 6-2-1 on the year, 1-0-1 in the Ivies.

Gearing up for the spring season, the Columbia men's golf team has already played four tournaments this fall.
Despite not placing higher than fourth in any of their tournaments thus far, the team maintains a positive attitude.
