Burger King has left the building. The fast food chain's owner abruptly shut down the restaurant one night last December. The restaurant is one of at least four local businesses to close in the last two months.

Kenneth Knuckles has left his position as Columbia's vice president of Support Services to become the new president and CEO of the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone. During his seven years at Columbia, Knuckles was best known for his effective reorganization of Mail Services.
