Columbia will open a new undergraduate residence for upperclass students above Nussbaum & Wu Bakery in September, the University is expected to announce today. The Columbia-owned building, located at 600 W. 113th St., currently houses graduate students and community members.

Last June, the presidents of the Ivy League met to reevaluate the place of athletics in their universities. After much deliberation and negotiation with their athletic directors, they established a moratorium--a mandatory seven-week rest period for all sports.
