In light of my recent disillusionment with the American media, I have been rather indecisive about picking what to watch on the television late at night. Sure, on the off chance that I turn on the TV around 1:30 a.m., I can catch Conan or Craig Kilborn for a few laughs.

I'll admit, one of the top reasons I hoped to attend Columbia was the school's lack of appreciation for athletics. I felt that strong athletic programs opened the door to the type of person I am most fearful of: the stereotypically cocky, mean, self-serving athlete.
