Donlin Foreman, associate professor of dance at Barnard, is the co-founder of the respected company Buglisi/Foreman Dance, for which he has danced and choreographed. Now the company is preparing for its Tenth Anniversary Show next week at the Joyce Theater.

Nelly Furtado starts off her second album, Folklore, with the lyrics "I am not a one-trick pony." It's obviously a reference to her career, and likely to criticisms that her first album, 2000's Whoa Nelly, was an innocent confection free of substance.

A Columbia College sophomore died last month while he was on leave.
Fraser Lunan was at home in Baie D'Urfe, Quebec, a city outside Montreal, when he died on Dec. 13.
The cause of death was suicide, according to a spokesman in the Quebec coroner's office. Lunan was 23.
