ITHACA, N.Y.--Tragedy hit Schoellkopf Field Wednesday afternoon when Cornell men's lacrosse defenseman George Boiardi died during a game against Binghamton after he was struck in the chest by a ball shot by the Bearcats' Nate Kerstein.

The Lion defense stayed strong at Wien Stadium yesterday, holding St. Joseph's scoreless for the first 44 minutes of Sunday afternoon's 11-4 Columbia victory. The win came on the heels of a perfect 2-0 road trip to Florida, where the Lions defeated both Bucknell and Fairfield.
