The Columbia College Committee on Instruction has decided to go full speed ahead with Frontiers of Science, the so-called "science core." Starting next year, all incoming College students will have to take this survey course that purports to teach modes of scientific thinking.

The Rugby Football Club broke out of the Ivy League cellar last weekend. For the first time in two years, the senior-led Lions won a match against an Ivy opponent at the Ivy League Rugby Tournament, ekeing out a one-point victory over the Penn Quakers.
