John Hine Mundy, Professor Emeritus of History, died peacefully at his home on April 13. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughter Martha, son John, sister Meg, granddaughters Sara and Thea, and nephew Sotos Yannopoulos.

The atmosphere was polite and the talk was measured in Jerome Hall on Tuesday night when the Columbia Democrats hosted a panel discussion called "Media in Politics". The large auditorium was only about one third full, in spite of the many fliers the Columbia Democrats passed out beforehand.
