The women s soccer team came home with a .500 record for the season after a successful weekend at the St. John s University NYC Nike Classic tournament held at Belson Stadium in Queens. The Light Blue beat Wagner College and Long Island University each by a score of 1-0.

Women s volleyball opened its season this weekend with a freshly stocked roster and renewed hopes, but failed to gain the breakout start they had hoped for, falling to Lehigh (30-20, 30-28, 25-30, 23-30, 13-15), North Carolina State (29-31, 30-27, 18-30, 16-30) and Marist (25-30, 22-30, 27-30).
