Many Columbia students will be sad to hear that they missed Drew Barrymore on campus last night. The actor-turned-director-turned-political activist spoke at Barnard Hall about youth and voting, but space was so limited that the event was not heavily advertised.

Civil rights lawyer Norman Siegel announced Friday that he will represent a group of West Harlem business owners concerned about Columbia's plan to expand into their area. Siegel spoke at a meeting organized by the Coalition to Preserve Community, at St. Mary's Church on West 126th Street.
