Finally, the wait is over. After weeks of practice in the heat, off season training, and scrimmages, the 2004 Columbia football team will take the field tomorrow night under the lights at Wien Stadium in the third annual Liberty Cup against Fordham.

The problem with winning right off the bat is that it's called beginner's luck. After a disastrous 0-7 Ivy season in 2002, Columbia's three conference wins last year with a new quarterback and coach seem like a perfect example of the phenomenon.
