Columbia prides itself on being a famously political campus. Why, then, did a higher percentage of Americans drive to the polls in November’s election then Columbians stop on their way to class at Low Plaza to fill out a paper ballot and vote?

During the strike I met a number of graduate students with serious concerns. Yet last Friday Julia Kite wrote an Op-Ed piece dismissing the concerns of graduate students, as she advised us to consider working a few years before attending graduate school, presumably to save up money.

For evidence of academic bias at Columbia, one need not ask The David Project or Columbians for Academic Freedom. More telling are the writings of those who attack these groups.
