Columbia’s standout defensive tackle, Michael Quarshie, signed with the NFL Europe’s Frankfurt Galaxy and could play as early as this weekend. Quarshie flew to Germany last week to practice with the team before it hosts the Rhein Fire.

After 65 Spectator articles, 39 classes, and over 170 Facebook friends, my career at Columbia is days from its conclusion. Spending the past four years at one of the greatest academic institutions in the world, in the greatest city in the world, has been a unique privilege.

The end of the season came too soon for Columbia’s women’s lacrosse team. After winning their first Ivy League contest in the program’s history against Harvard on Saturday, the Lions won their second consecutive game when they traveled to Easton, Pa. and beat Lafayette 18-10.
