Three student bikers were seriously injured during COBOP, the Columbia-sponsored pre-orientation bike trip. The annual four-day freshman trip was cut short for one freshman and interrupted for two others, all of whom sustained minor injuries after falling off their bikes.

Nearly 2,000 first-years crossed the West Side Highway Thursday, dressed and ready for the annual “New York event” on the USS intrepid. Once on board, students were greeted by a true New York party: live band music for dancing and views of midtown Manhattan in the background.
