Midterm Snacks

Welcome to the best and worst part of your semester—midterms. Best in the sense that its the first of many (and we mean many) moments here at Columbia when life may seem like an endless search for a seat in Butler at 9 p.m. However, luckily for you we have compiled a list of must-eat snacks for the energetic and happy student!

1. Goldfish and Chex Mix

This mix of salty goodness will keep you entertained and full during your time in the library. Buy in bulk at Morton Williams or Westside, and always keep a ziplock mix handy!


2.Greek Yogurt

Purchase this at Café 212, Butler Cafe...or any of the many supermarkets surrounding our campus. Not only is this low caloric treat delicious, but it is also a great source of calcium, potassium, and protein. Mix it with jam, honey, or even Nutella (gasp!), and it will fuel your problem sets until the very end.


3. Trail Mix (with Chocolate)

Chow down on a combination of pecans, almonds, dried fruit, and chocolate as you prepare this midterm season. M&M's are necessary, actual healthy components optional.

4. Nutella and Anything

At Columbia, we know very well that if there's anything that will get us through back-to-back midterms with a sprinkle of essays and a dash of a problem set, it is Nutella. Snag some from the dining halls, cup it, confidently walk into the non-food section of the library, and eat your heart out.
